Welcome

We are absolutely delighted to announce the official launch of our brand-new community project: the Airedale Seniors Collective. After listening closely to our local neighbours and friends, it became clear that there was a real desire for a dedicated space where older people and carers can come together, share stories, and try new things. Whether you have lived in the area your whole life or have recently moved closer to family, the Collective is here to ensure that no one in our community feels out of reach of a friendly face and a warm cup of tea.

What makes the Airedale Seniors Collective unique is that we aren’t staying in one place. We know that travel can sometimes be a hurdle, so our hub is designed to be mobile. We will be heading out to various local venues, church halls, and community centres across the Aire Valley, Keighley, Silsden, and Steeton. By bringing the Collective directly into the heart of our towns and villages, we hope to make it as easy as possible for everyone to join in.

We are so excited to get started, and if you would like to get involved in the Collective, we want to hear from you! Whether you have a suggestion for a local venue or ideas for activities you’d love to see, your feedback will help us shape this project into a space the whole community can enjoy.

Dementia Friendly

At the Airedale Seniors Collective, our vision is to provide a warm, inclusive, and supportive space where absolutely everyone feels welcome.

As part of our Dementia Action Week 2026 pledge, we committed to ensuring our team is fully equipped to support older people and carers across our local area. We are incredibly proud to share that every single person involved in the project has registered as an Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friend.

Leading this initiative is our fantastic Project Lead, Philippa Young. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Philippa brings a wealth of specialised training and experience, ensuring our mobile hub remains a safe, knowledgeable, and understanding environment for everyone who visits.

With around one million people navigating dementia across the UK—including over 70,800 individuals living with young-onset dementia—we are dedicated to ensuring no one in our community faces it alone.

Whether you are living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or simply looking for a friendly face and a warm cup of tea, our doors are always open. Please get in touch with Philippa and the team to find out how we can support you.

Local Event Diary

The Airedale Seniors Collective Events Diary is your central guide to all our upcoming gatherings and fantastic local senior events across the community. As our calendar is still new and growing, we would love your support—if you know of an event that should be featured here, please share it with us at info@airedaleseniors.co.uk.
