Ghyll Royd Care Home, part of the Spellman Care Group, is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a talk by the MND Association on Wednesday 26th June at 10.30am. The talk, led by Tracy Sanderson from the MND Association, will focus on raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and the support available to those living with the condition.
“MND awareness is incredibly important to our team” says Nichola Harrison, Home Manager at Ghyll Royd Care Home. “Sadly, Motor Neurone Disease is a condition that affects several residents across Spellman Care, and we are committed to providing them with the best possible care and support. Rob Burrow was a true inspiration for the MND community and indeed our team, and we hope that by raising awareness of MND we can help even just a small number of others who may be living with the disease.”
The MND Association is the leading charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland fighting MND. They provide support and information to people with MND, their families and carers, and fund research to find a cure.
The talk at Ghyll Royd Care Home is free and open to the public. Those who would like to attend simply need to drop in on the day.
