We believe in providing high quality care, designed specifically for each resident, and focusing on them enjoying every element of living in one of our Homes.
Living in a Spellman Care Home really is a home-from-home, and we work hard on our family-led culture so that all residents who join us feel welcomed and part of the community from when they arrive.
We believe that we are truly honoured to be entrusted with our resident’s care, and we want to treat them with kindness, dignity and compassion throughout their time within our care.
Our History
Our company was established in 1990 with the opening of Steeton Court Nursing Home. Our aim was to build a modern luxurious environment that felt like a home from home. We are a family business that has worked hard to ensure we have never lost sight of the values on which our business was founded. We are passionately dedicated to providing an outstanding quality of care and accommodation which enriches the lives of our residents.
In 2001 we opened Ghyll Royd Care Home, followed by Craven Nursing Home in 2004 and Springbank Residential Home in 2017. We are extremely proud of all our purpose-built Homes and are constantly looking at ways to improve the environment and facilities to ensure our residents live in beautiful surroundings that they can really call Home.
Over the last 30 years, the family’s commitment has been to provide the very best care for our residents, whatever their needs. We have had numerous awards for the outstanding quality of care we provide and along with our highly skilled team of Nurses, Carers and Home Managers, we are renowned for providing a consistent and high-quality standard of care.

Our Homes
Craven Nursing Home is situated on the outskirts of Skipton with fabulous views overlooking the Aire Valley. Positioned alongside the canal, amid delightful landscaped gardens and built using traditional Yorkshire stone, the Craven provides comfortable accommodation for up to 64 residents.
Ghyll Royd Care Home is located in the semi-rural area of Guiseley, near Ilkley and Otley. It is a purpose-built home which has been designed to the highest specifications. Great care has been taken to provide a homely, warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Springbank Care Home is a lovingly restored and modernised home, which offers residential care for 40 residents, including in a specialist dementia community. Our stylish and practical spaces mean our residents can relax, socialise and live as independently as possible whilst enjoying the unique and luxurious setting.
Steeton Court Nursing Home is located in a peaceful leafy residential suburb, surrounded by beautiful gardens with trees and wildlife. A truly wonderful place combining the best of the traditional local stone-built style, with the modern convenience and facilities of a purpose-built nursing home.
