Ghyll Royd Care Home and the Guiseley Carnival Committee are delighted to announce Ghyll Royd as the headline sponsor for the 2025 Guiseley Carnival. This year’s event will feature a fun and engaging dinosaur theme, promising a memorable day for all ages, taking place on Sunday, 29th June 2025.
Nichola Gawthrop, Home Manager at Ghyll Royd Care Home, shared her excitement: “We’re over the moon to be sponsoring this year’s Guiseley Carnival. At Ghyll Royd, kindness, dignity, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. As a family-owned care home that’s been part of the Guiseley community since 2001, we feel deeply connected to our local area. Supporting events like the carnival is a way for us to give back to the people we care for and who make this such a special place to live and work. It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”
Ghyll Royd Care Home will host a VIP tent at the carnival, providing their residents and relatives with a special space to enjoy the day’s festivities.
The Guiseley Carnival Committee added: “The Carnival committee are delighted to announce that Ghyll Royd Care Home will be the headline sponsor at this year’s carnival.
We work tirelessly to support our elderly residents by providing social events that foster their well-being and enrich their lives and, as the headline sponsor, Ghyll Royd Care Home are playing a vital role in sustaining these valuable programs.
The carnival is a fabulous fun filled event for all the family and the whole of the local community.
The parade will be led by the marching band from the Yeadon Air Cadets and the limousines will transport the Carnival King, Queen and attendants to the carnival arena where there will be variety of arts, home baking and crafts stalls as well as the usual fun and games.
The food court will keep everyone sustained as we welcome back the amazing pizza van, mobile chippy, fantastic Italian barista coffee and a licenced bar.
It wouldn’t be the same without our favourite ice cream van either and the fire engine from Rawdon Blue watch fire station will be present too.
In the arena we will have some fun with the dinosaurs, and the singing and dancing groups will keep us entertained all afternoon.
Thank you once again to our generous sponsors, Ghyll Royd Care Home, and the local business community for supporting this traditional event.”
The Dino Parade will commence at 12 noon from Guiseley Primary School. Entry to the carnival is by programme, priced at £1 per person, with free admission for children under 10. All proceeds will benefit the Guiseley Senior Citizens Association.
The Guiseley Senior Citizens Association is a totally voluntary group of committee members whose primary aim is to raise funds year-round to support their annual seaside outing for local seniors. This year’s excursion to St. Annes will take place on Sunday, 27th July 2025, and is free to local senior citizens thanks to the ongoing fundraising efforts of the dedicated volunteer committee.
The Guiseley Senior Citizens Association holds a regular coffee morning at Guiseley Methodist Church on Oxford Road, providing a welcoming space for community members to connect. They also host a regular bingo session every Wednesday at the New Inn at Guiseley from 2pm. Seniors can register for the St. Annes trip at the coffee morning at the Methodist Church on Saturday, 19th July 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The Guiseley Senior Citizens Association works closely with AVSED, another local charity supporting Aireborough seniors, coordinating activities and sharing ideas where possible.
