Springbank Care Home in Silsden welcomed members of the Cononley WI on Monday, several of whom used to work at Springbank when it was a nursing home under different ownership.

The women from the WI took a tour of Springbank, led by Home Manager Lisa Noble. Lisa commented “It was lovely to show around the ladies from the Cononley WI yesterday. We chatted a lot about Springbank, and its former life as the home of a local mill owner. I learned a lot from the former staff, including that the mill owner was from Lancashire, which is why our stained-glass windows feature red roses!”

“It was lovely to see the ladies from the WI chatting with the residents, and we would love to invite members of the community to visit Springbank as volunteers”.
