Staff across Spellman Care participated in the groups first ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ last week. Throughout the day a ‘Hydration Station’ was available to staff, with a selection of flavoured waters, juices, fruits and refreshments available. Colleagues also participated in various wellbeing activities, spanning from Eid celebrations to fancy dress!
‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ is set to become a monthly event across Spellman Care, following on from the recent launch of the Spellman Care ‘Wellbeing & Development Hub’.
“We held our first Wellbeing Wednesday across the group this week with great success” said Tracy Cousins, Group Recruitment and Retention Manager. “At Spellman Care we feel that it is vital to ensure the ongoing wellbeing of our staff. This is not just in being there for staff and providing support, advice and guidance, but about ensuring a great place to work and building bonds between all members of the team.
This month we saw Eid celebrations and staff dressing up in fancy dress! Although the day was aimed at Staff wellbeing, the Visitors and Residents certainly enjoyed themselves too! Staff were also provided with snacks, fruit and dinks at our Hydration Stations. We are all looking forward to next month!”
Jenny Newiss, a staff member of Springbank Care Home said… “It was great to see the Home launch Wellbeing Wednesday with such a fun atmosphere, with staff across the Home taking part in a fancy dress run. We also had a selection of fresh fruits, drinks and treats on offer along with displays of positive words to describe all the staff across the Home. It was a good fun and we look forward to the next event”.
