Spellman Care is delighted to announce the launch of their brand-new Relative Support Hub, now live on their website. Following on from the success of their Staff Wellbeing and Development Hub, launched in January 2024, this new online platform has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive range of resources specifically for the relatives and friends of those in their care.
Recognising the importance of support and information throughout the care journey, Spellman Care has created this hub to aid, educate, and empower families. This hub aims to pull together a collection of support services already offered by Spellman Care, making them easily accessible in one place. This is a publicly accessible resource aimed at supporting not only relatives of Spellman Care’s own residents but also those navigating the care journey within other settings. Whether relatives are seeking clear explanations on topics such as Power of Attorney, require emotional support during challenging times, or wish to enhance their understanding of conditions like Dementia, Parkinson’s, and Aphasia, this webpage offers a valuable starting point for reassurance and guidance.
The new Relative Support Hub also provides a window into the daily lives of Spellman Care’s residents, offering access to activity schedules and upcoming events for each of Spellman Care’s four homes: Craven Nursing Home, Ghyll Royd Care Home, Steeton Court Nursing Home, and Springbank Care Home. This feature allows relatives to get involved with activities in the home and gain peace of mind, knowing their loved one is actively engaged and fostering social connections within their care community.
“We are deeply grateful to the many relatives who contributed to the development of this essential resource by sharing their valuable ideas and suggestions.” Says Philippa Young, Group Operations Manager. “We as a company want to emphasise that the launch of the hub is just the beginning, with a commitment to continuous improvement based on feedback from families. Relatives are warmly invited to share any further ideas or suggestions for content via the feedback box conveniently located at the bottom of the webpage.”
Spellman Care is proactively seeking partnerships with local charities, organisations, and individuals who can offer valuable support and resources to relatives of those residing in care homes. We invite interested parties, including solicitors, financial advisors, local dementia support groups, and relevant support networks, to connect with us at hello@spellmancare.co.uk to explore potential features on our newly launched Relative Support Hub.
The Spellman Care Relative Support Hub is now live and accessible via the Spellman Care website at www.spellmancare.co.uk/relative-support-hub
