You’re invited to our second Veterans Cafe on Monday 24th February!

Following the overwhelming success of our inaugural Veterans’ Café at Springbank Care Home, we’re thrilled to invite you to our second gathering.  The first event saw a fantastic turnout of veterans, their families, and the local community, including representatives from the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance, SSAFA, the Ilkley Armed Forces Breakfast Club and more.  It was truly inspiring to see so many connect and share experiences, highlighting the vital role these cafés play in fostering community and belonging.  One highlight was witnessing a resident reconnect with a language learned during wartime, demonstrating the positive impact on reminiscence and wellbeing.

Join us on Monday, 24th February at Steeton Court Nursing Home from 2:00 PM for an afternoon of refreshments, camaraderie, and military topics.

These cafes are open to everyone – no prior military service is required. Whether you served, knew someone who served, or simply wish to reminisce about national service or related topics, all are welcome.  Come along, enjoy the atmosphere, and join us in supporting our veterans and building community.
