We are delighted to announce the return of the eagerly anticipated Spellman Care Annual Christmas Cake Competition!

Following a hugely successful competition last year, the festive bake-off will be hosted by our 2024 winners, Steeton Court Nursing Home, on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM.

The Challenge

This year, our four brilliant Head Chefs from across the Spellman Care group will face an exciting new challenge, putting their baking and adaptability skills to the ultimate test. Each chef must now present two spectacular cakes for our panel of resident and family judges:

• A delicious Traditional Christmas Cake.
• A Modified Cake of their choosing, showcasing expertise in specialist baking (this could be texture modified, diabetic-friendly, vegan, gluten-free, or any other modification).

The competition is a wonderful way for our chefs to demonstrate their talent and commitment to providing delicious and inclusive food for all our residents.

Join the Celebration!

We invite residents and their families to join us for an afternoon of festive fun, thrilling competition, and of course, a slice of cake! The event will be hosted by the fantastic singer, Craig Carlisle, and it is our wonderful residents and their families who will have the honour of choosing the ultimate winner.
