We are pleased to announce the date and theme for our 2026 summer fete at Ghyll Royd Care Home and we need your help to make it happen! 

 

Step beyond the gate and join us on Saturday, 11th July, from 1:30 for our Secret Garden Country Fete. It is set to be a wonderful afternoon for the whole community, featuring live music, various stalls, garden games, and plenty of treats. The day will be complemented by the sensory aspects of nature, encompassing all the senses to create a relaxing atmosphere for those living with Dementia. 

 

We are also proud to be fundraising for Andys Man Club. They are a fantastic men’s suicide prevention charity that offers free-to-attend, peer-to-peer support groups across the UK. Their mission is to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation, providing a safe and judgment-free space for any man over 18 who needs it. 

 

To make this year’s event as special as possible, we would love for our local community to get involved! We are currently looking for:

Local stallholders, with stalls available for £15

Enthusiastic residents and relatives to join our planning committee

Donations of prizes for our charity raffle

Assorted tea cups, saucers, and cake stands

Local talent to perform live music for us
