Residents and staff at Spellman Care homes across the region are once again spreading holiday cheer with a heartwarming Christmas video. This marks the second year of this cherished initiative, providing a unique opportunity for residents to personally share their Christmas wishes and festive greetings with loved ones.

“Seeing the joy on our residents’ faces as they record their Christmas messages is truly heartwarming,” said Steven Spellman, Director of Spellman Care. “This project allows them to feel connected to their loved ones in a very special way, and these videos will become treasured keepsakes for years to come.”

Reflecting on last year’s video also serves as a warming reminder of the continuing joy experienced by our residents. This year’s video captures the continued growth and happiness within our homes, showcasing the positive impact of our dedicated care teams.

Following the Christmas video, Spellman Care also produced a special video message for its dedicated employees. For the first time, Group Operations Manager Philippa Young highlighted the numerous achievements made possible by the team’s hard work and dedication throughout 2024.

The Christmas video project not only brings joy to residents and their families but also provides an engaging and enjoyable activity within the home. Residents feel like Hollywood stars as they record their messages, fostering a sense of pride, accomplishment and fun!

“It’s been an absolute privilege to film and edit these videos,” said Peter Chadwick, Marketing Manager at Spellman Care. “Witnessing the genuine happiness and the special moments captured on camera makes this project incredibly rewarding.”

The main Christmas video and the staff appreciation video were both released on Christmas Day and can be viewed on the Spellman Care YouTube Channel. A third video, showcasing the lighter side of filming with a collection of hilarious bloopers, was released on Boxing Day and can also be found on the channel.
