Spellman Care Managers reach “Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care” finals

This morning the finalists for this year’s “Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards” (WAGS) were announced.

Spellman Care is proud to announce that four of its managers reached the finals. Philippa Young (Group Operations Manager), Lisa Noble (Springbank Home Manager), Nichola Harrison (Ghyll Royd Home Manager) and April Howie (Springbank Deputy).

Philippa Young previously reached the finals in the inaugural 2022 awards, following a nomination for “The Care Home Businesswoman of the Year category”, reaching the finals for the same category again this year.

In the finals for the first time are Lisa Noble, Nichola Harrison and April Howie. Lisa & April were nominated as a team following their recent Antipsychotic Medication Reduction and Smiling Matters initiatives, reaching the finals for “The Girl Power Team Category”.

Nichola Harrison was nominated for “The Social Care Superwoman Category” due to her long service at Ghyll Royd Care Home. Nichola has worked at Ghyll Royd since the age of 17, starting as a domestic assistant, re-training to become a nurse and working her way up to Home Manager.
