Activities
At Springbank Care Home, we foster a positive and active environment, guided by our dedicated team of Activity Coordinators. We make sure that all residents have a say in how they spend their time, offering a weekly activity schedule packed with stimulating choices. Families receive our weekly newsletter which provides a wonderful summary of the activities and events that have been going on. Our commitment is to ensure that everything we offer, from exercise classes to craft sessions, is entirely customised to your personal likes and dislikes, promoting a high quality of life for all.
Trips Out
Getting out and about is effortless and enjoyable for our residents. Springbank Care Home is unique in having our very own Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), which is used multiple times throughout the week for smaller, more intimate outings and essential appointments, ensuring all residents can access the community.
For larger, more social excursions, we have a dedicated minibus and driver. We organise fantastic weekly minibus trips that allow more residents to enjoy special group trips out together, such as memorable boat trips on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. For more extensive excursions, residents enjoy special trips out throughout the year, like drives to see the Christmas lights or a local bonfire. We also actively encourage friendships across our wider group; residents often visit one another through the Spellman Care residents network, exemplified by our monthly Veterans Cafes which are hosted in turn by a different Spellman Care home.
Dining & Food
We believe that mealtimes should be a highlight of the day at Springbank. Our kitchen team, led by an exceptional Head Chef and Sous Chef, is committed to culinary excellence. We provide a continually developing menu, incorporating regular resident and relative feedback to keep our offerings fresh and appealing. We rigorously uphold standards for excellent nutrition and hydration, ensuring every resident’s wellbeing. Every meal is highly personal; our approach means everything from the menu choices to the dining setting is carefully customised to your personal likes and dislikes, ensuring a pleasant and satisfying experience for everyone.
