Lisa Pickles | Registered Manager

I joined the Springbank team as the Registered Manager in November 2021.
I come from a background of working in complex mental health and specialist care for those living with dementia. I am truly compassionate about striving for the best possible outcomes for our residents, becoming a central part in our community and continuously improving who we are and what we do.

April Howie | Deputy Manager

I’ve been working at Springbank for the past 6 years, currently working in the Deputy Manager position. I have achieved my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care.

My passion is getting to know our residents as individuals and continually looking at how we can improve how we work at Springbank in order to positively improve the lives of our residents, providing them with the care that they deserve.

Jenny Newiss | Senior Care Lead

Hi, my name is Jenny. I'm a Senior Care Lead here at Springbank Care Home.

I've worked at Springbank for 2 years, having not come from a care background. When I started I wasn't sure how I would find it, but I have found a rewarding career that I love.

I'm proud to have earned 2 promotions whilst at Springbank, and look forward to gaining further experience.

Eve Kelk | Head Chef

Hello, my name is Eve.

I have been with Spellman Care for over 6 years now, starting in January 2018 as Second Chef. In 2020 I transferred to one of our sister homes for 6 months, in order to gain experience in a nursing home setting. When I transferred back to Springbank, I used the knowledge and skills I had gained to work my way up to the Head Chef role.

I take pride in all aspects of my work, including all the paper work! I am proud to have helped by my colleagues to maintain a 5 star food hygiene rating.

I enjoy every part of my role, but I take extra pride in my home baking as I’m a qualified pastry chef.

Alongside my team, I enjoy trying new bakes and recipes, and planning food related themed events for our residents to enjoy.

Lucy Hodgson | Chef

I started at Springbank originally joining the Domestic Team and progressing to the Care Team. I thoroughly enjoyed caring for our residents. I was offered an opportunity to join the Kitchen Team, and after gaining some experience, found that I really enjoyed the role.

I really enjoy supporting to design our menus, based upon our resident’s preferences and take pride in the Home’s daily home baking which always goes down a treat! I have a particular interest in texture-modified diets to ensure foods remain both nutritious and appealing.

Joseph Gonzales | Kitchen Assistant

Hi, I am Joseph Gonzales, I have been working as Kitchen Assistant at Springbank for almost a year.

I love serving cups of tea and home baked cakes and cookies for the residents. Seeing them smile makes my heart fell full.

Sarah White | Head Housekeeper

Hello, my name is Sarah, I'm Head Housekeeper here at Springbank Care Home.

I joined the Springbank team as a domestic when the home opened in 2017, being promoted to Head Housekeeper in 2022.

Prior to working at Springbank, I worked at various local homes in housekeeping, with around 18 years experience.

I like the challenge of working in care, I like things to be done properly, and I like to present a welcoming and tidy home.

Lauren Boylan | Housekeeping Assistant

Hello, my name is Lauren.

I have worked at springbank for 6 years now as part of the Domestic Team. It's a pleasure to work with the residents and be part of a lovely home. I really enjoy my job as I get to spend time with the residents and help them where I can, I l love learning all about them and their lives.

Andrew Gray | Activity Coordinator

I have worked with the Spellman Care team since November of 2024, after leaving a background of Mental Health Care and Domiciliary Care spanning 20 years, before which I spent some time with the British Army Irish Guards regiment.

I am very passionate about my job, and the mental health and wellbeing aspects of this.

After many years working in mental health, I have learnt that keeping active and happy are vitally important to keeping healthy and enjoying life.

Nichola Cromwell | Activity Coordinator

I have been working in care since leaving school, so a long time now!

I've worked in various settings, but mostly within dementia and learning disability roles.

In my spare time, I help out at various Veterans groups, most recently with the Royal British Legion selling poppies.

Vicky Walker | Activity Driver

Hello my name is Vicky. I joined the Spellman Care team in August 2023, following 9 years working as a Driver in Patient Transport, driving disabled school children to school and as a Taxi Driver. The best part has always been making my passengers smile and enjoy the ride!

Shareifah Bacol | Senior Carer

Hi, My Name is Shareifah, I’m a Senior Carer here at Springbank.

Knowing our residents on a personal level makes this job fun and rewarding. I enjoy making our residents laugh, listening to them reminisce about their childhood and sharing my own story.

Hi my name is Chaimaa. I joined the Springbank team in November 2023. I come from a Healthcare background, having worked as a Registered Nurse previously. I have found my passion in working here, and I am so proud to be part of the team.

I have been working as a Senior Carer at Springbank since February 2023, with my top priority being to provide quality care and support to our residents.

I’m proud to be part of the Springbank Team, as we are one big happy family here!

May Ang | Senior Carer

I have been a Senior Carer at Springbank Care Home since November 2022.

I have previously worked in corporate fields but wanted to go back to my roots, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Working in the healthcare industry has always been my passion.

Working at Springbank is amazing. I love taking care of our lovely residents and their families.

Jumarie Agbayani | Night Carer

I have been working as a Night Senior Carer here at Springbank since August 2022. I found my dedication and passion in providing optimum care when I was exposed to a Hospital Setting.

I am a Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist and also have recently earned my units for the Teaching Profession.

I am committed to showing respect and empathy, especially to the elderly population, and to making our residents feel like Springbank is a home from home.
